Todd and Gregg bring a vast array of experience to each and every development opportunity. Each grew up in the heavy construction industry working in their father’s company from a young age. Having done the work in the field that they now contract with third parties to perform, they have first-hand knowledge and experience, working literally in the trenches, performing the scopes of work required to execute projects successfully. They have spent countless days and weeks installing utilities, clearing and grading land, building streets, and working with homebuilders and property owners to develop residential communities of all sizes. They bring a unique perspective and experience that most others in the development space rely on third parties to provide. By possessing these skills and experience internally in our team, we feel uniquely equipped to understand the process, variables, risks, and challenges of taking a community from mere idea to successful completion better than any other group in our industry.
The Malphrus team has worked with local, regional and national homebuilders to develop over 10,000 lots throughout the southeastern United States. We’ve also worked with local, state and federal governments to successfully complete projects ranging from water and sewer plants to major interstate interchanges, airports expansions, dam and levee projects as well as disaster recovery. We’ve constructed or renovated over twenty golf courses throughout the southeast and worked with some of our better development partners in several Caribbean nations, including the Turks and Caicos Islands and St. Kitts. We have experience working with the unique challenges presented by sites with significant topography, streams and rock in the Atlanta, Charlotte and Triad region of North Carolina as well as the lowlands of the South Carolina and Georgia Coast and Florida and their high water tables.
